I met Frield Kolar at ISPO and he told me that they’ve got a lot of snow in Austria and they already have few kikers preshaped, so if i was up to shoot, will be definitely some good sessions over there. The weather was suppose to be bad for the next few days and i didn’t have my camera and riding stuff with me, so i went back home, wait few days, packed my stuff, grab Gerome Mathieu aka Coincoin with me and drove strait to Austria.

We arrived there on thuesday night, the weather was still suppose to be bad for almost all the week, one kiker like a wall on a rock and tree was ready. The weather was really bad, snowing and windy but we went to that spot whit Friedl, Steve Gruber and Coincoin which was next to the road after walking across a river. After reshaping and warming up the session started and the snow fall made the atmosphere way more attractive for my pictures.

After few phone calls Friedl decided that we should move to the south of Austria close to Slovenia for the next 3 days because there were way more snow and suppose to be sunny. Following his advise we drove there the next morning at 6am, the crew was composed with Friedl, Steve Gruber, Gerome Mathieu, Werni Stock and Morino and Enrick (2 filmer from Aesthetiker). We arrived in the resort called Nassfeld after 3hours of car, amazingly surprise by the tons of snow they’ve got compare to Zillertal. With a large smile in our face we went up ready to discover this new area.

The first day we shaped 2 kikers to be ready to ride the next morning but when we arrived the day after, friedl and steve found an other one so we shaped again and at the end of the day we started riding the other ones. Gerome found a really nice gap but he only had 2 tryout and 1 for Werni before the sun cames down.

The last day was the best one, the kiker from the day before was really good and so many tricks were lended by all of the riders, after killing the spot, Gerome wanted to ride again the one from the day before and also killed it with a huge FS 720.

Our session in the South was over, time to go back to Zillertal and for us to drive back to France.
