The Women in Boardsports Retreat took place in Saas-fee last weekend, it was an exclusive women meeting where we could talk about our job in the boardsport industry. It wasn’t a feminine meeting just a good oportunity to hang out and meet some great people who grew up in a male business.

Check out this website http://www.breathecostarica.com/

Drew Stevenson who has worked for so many years into snowboarding and who is part of his evolution, is now on a new project in Costa Rica, take time to look at it.

“Breathe is an organic concept born in the jungles of Costa Rica fusing music, activities, discourse, and inclusive participation aimed at sharpening focus on many social and ecological issues facing our future.

Time is short to address the enormity of different challenges facing the globe’s biosphere, natural resources and us as species. They are as big as they are diverse. The solutions are as clever as they are wide ranging. The first step in addressing a problem, is accepting there is a one.

Breathe challenges people to leave their regular surroundings and to re-immerse themselves with a isolated, vibrant, living, ecosystem. A chance to stop for a second. Take a deep breath. Interact, and re-examine our place on the planet from a completely different perspective.

In a remote jungle setting, Breathe promotes awareness through music, art, surfing, eco tours, yoga sessions, horse tours, offshore fishing, beach combing, local food & culture, workshops, documentary screenings and much more…

Put simply, Breathe offers a unique shared experience with like-minded people interested in change…”

After the Billabong photoshoot with Anne-flore we had to wait 10 days before going to California for a trade show, first we wanted to stay in New Zealand to visit the country but finally we figure out that we better find a warm and exotic place instead. If you look at a map between NZ and California there is not too many oportunities. We picked out Fiji.

The first day we went surfing at the beach break at Sigatoka which was a bit too windy to be good. Later we went in Town for lunch and some locals surfer we met earlier led us the way to some nice waterfall where i had so much fun diving.

When we get back to our hotel we got a phone call from Andrew the Billabong team manager which was at Fiji as well but in an small island, he tried to convince us to join. After few minutes of deliberation he motivated us.

It’s how we get to the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in my life, TAVARUA. Nothing else to say, just look at the pictures and you’ll understand what i mean. Bula!!!!

Middle of august it’s the scorching heat in Europe so it’s time to get some fresh air and go riding. It’s in New Zealand that Billabong decided to organize his photoshoot. During 2 weeks we hang out around Wanaka with all the crew, the weather and snow conditions weren’t the best but we’ve got everything done in time.
